Sri Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy Temple

Sri swayambu varasidhi vinayaka swamy temple is located at kanipakam village,chittoor district of andhra pradesh.Kanipakam village is located near Bahuda river "Kani" Means Wet land and "Pakam" means flow of water. The old name of kanipakam is viharipuri.This temple is having 1000 years of history.

Story Behind kanipakam Temple

People of this village telling that in olden days 3 brothers are lived here they are having handicap. All the three having deaf,viz,dumb problems,they lived livelihood by cultivation.they cultivation by using the well water. The well water is dried up and they dont have water to cultivate.one of them have digged the well,when digging he got a stone like formation.he was shocked to see that blood was coming from the stone and all the well water was red blood colour.then all of the three brothers got normal rid of their deformities.all the villagers came to see the miracle and digged more and found the swayambu vinayaka idol.

Very Powerfull God, the idol was growing in size.the holy water from that well is given to the devotees as theertham.

Tirupati to kanipakam distance

Tirupati to kanipakam distance is 75kms, which will take 1:30 hours for journey in car. bus will take around 2 hours time.Its a powerfull god nearly 20000 people will get darshan at this temple every day.Every day kalyanam will be performed in this temple with siddi,buddi ammavaru.A siva temple is located near to this temple,here shiva is called as Manikanteswara.
